Mega Classic

While waiting for winter I scrounged some camera phone photos of our walk up the mega classic Third Flatiron a few years ago in Boulder.  The final pitch is thought to be the best of what might be the most famous climb in Colorado.  The entire route was first climbed in 1906 by two brothers with no ropes, no gear as they scrambled to the top.  Since the first ascent the route has been repeated by any imaginable flamboyant style and host to number of antics that includes painting and un-painting giant letters, climbing in costumes, climbing with no clothes,  roller blades in the rain or under a full moon.   I climbed it with a rope and my buddy Chris to get reacquainted with the West after years trying to climb around the East Coast.
