The flight from Dallas landed in Salt lake around 4pm and a few hours later Julie and I were in the middle of a 9 hour drive across Wyoming to Denver. At 4am we wabbled bleary eyed into to town, the jeep crusted in snow, almost the halfway point back Dallas where we started. There in Denver we visited friends and family, got our dog back and enjoyed the Front Range sun, bought a case of gluten free beer from New Planet Brewery and 24 hours later hopped back in the Jeep for what turned into an 11 hour return trip to Salt Lake. The point in life where we look back and remissness on haphazard road trip flavored suffer fests is understandably far away this time.
