Going Local

I camped with the pup on the edge of town and in the morning I stuffed the sleeping bag and we walked the mile down from our spot in the forest for breakfast and coffee.  The Lotus Cafe in the one stop town of Crestone, Colorado is  also a guest house, animal farm and town meeting place for everyone who is awake by 9 o'clock.  Their llama was tethered to the front porch and once inside I stood in the warm sun pouring in through the windows on the east side of the cafe which was at one time an old house.  Outside in the yard the goat was being milked to add to the coffee and all morning the town rewrote the meaning of local.
