Home Grown

I went back to New Mexico to visit the rural studio that is Cottonwood Gulch. It is a place that mixes kids of all ages with art, nature and a chance to explore.

A rainwater collection system is used to water the gardens, animals and for washing.

Friends and neighbors were invited over for Navajo Tacos one afternoon. The Elk for the tacos was killed less than a 1/4 mile from Basecamp while the veggies and some of the herbs came from the garden. The veggie oil used to make the Frybread was given to the neighbor for use in his biodiesel pickup.
