Backyard Road Trip

Julie, Briana and I left Summit County during the biggest snowstorm since February for a "backyard" road trip. We drove North through Nederland on our way to Estes Park. Standing just outside Ned' in the blowing snow with a huge pack was Jalel. We picked him up and as soon as he was in the car he was sharing his 2 pound bag of M&M's. He was from Isreal and had been traveling in central America unitl he hitched up to colorado from Chahuahua, Mexico. It had taken him 8 days. I said we were heading to Estes Park and he said that would be fine.
The Stanely Hotel in Estes is where both "Dumb and Dumber" and the "Shining" were filmed. Halel started quoting 'Dumb and Dumber' so we stopped to take a picture on the steps.
